Domestic Leads to DWI, Obstruction Arrest for SF Man

On 11/07/12 at approximately 10:44 p.m. the Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Dylan J. Seneca, age 20, of 3215 Lake Road, Seneca Falls, NY for DWI, BAC .08% or more, Unlicensed Operator, Obstructing Governmental Administration and Resisting Arrest. Officers responded to Green St for a domestic in progress in the roadway between a male and female. When officers arrived on scene, officers observed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the roadway with its lights on, engine running, and a male, later identified as Seneca, exiting the vehicle. Officers attempted to interview both parties and upon further investigation it was revealed that Seneca had been operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state. When attempting to interview the female, Seneca refused to comply with officers’s lawful orders to remain at the scene and attempted to walk away from officers numerous times as they were investigating this incident. Seneca’s actions obstructed the initial police investigation and he was subsequently taken into custody. Seneca briefly struggled with officers as they were taking him into custody. The female declined to pursue charges. A license check through NYS DMV showed Seneca did not hold a driver’s license. Seneca was arraigned in Fayette Town Court Judge Sapio and committed to SCCF on $1500 Cash/$3000 Bond. He is to appear in Seneca Falls Town Court 11/15/12 at 10:00 a.m. to answer the charges.
