Local Man Beats Up and Threatens Another Resident with Knife

costelloOn 12/14/2014 at approx. 1:10am, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Patrick J. Costello, age 31, of 14 Auburn Road, Apt. 3, Seneca Falls, NY  following a physical altercation that occurred at a residence in the Town of Seneca Falls.  It is alleged that Costello struck another Town of Seneca Falls resident multiple times in the face with a closed fist.  It is also alleged that during the altercation, Costello held a knife to the throat of the resident.  Costello was charged with 4 misdemeanors;  Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree, Menacing in the 2nd Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Harassment in the 2nd Degree, a violation.  Costello was arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Court and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 cash, $3,000 bond and is scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 01/14/2015 at 9:00 am.  A stay-away order of protection was issued for the victim. The victim sustained minor injuries.
