On 09.28.2012 @ 7:08 PM, Seneca Falls Police arrested the following two individuals for two counts of Felony Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree and two counts of Felony Criminal Possession of the Stolen Property in the Fourth Degree:
Christine L. Maddox, age 41, of 133 Elm Street, Geneva, New York 14456. Also charged with insufficient tail lamps.
The charges are a result of a traffic stop on Bridge Street in Seneca Falls. During the stop police located two concealed firearms inside the vehicle. The first firearm was a Wasr10 (AK-47 style) rifle and the second firearm was a 22 Mossberg “plinkster” that had been illegally modified by having the barrel and stock cut short to represent a pistol. Both firearms were unloaded at the time of recovery, however three magazines for the Waser10 were loaded near the weapons. Both firearms had been previously reported stolen to the Seneca Falls Police Department on 09.04.2012. Arraignment was before Waterloo Village Justice Dean Mattoon. Both were committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $25,000.00 cash bail or $50,000.00 secure bond. Both are to return in Seneca Falls Town Court at 11:00 on 10.04.2012. The Seneca Falls Police Department was assisted on this incident by the NYS Police.
On 09/29/12 at approximately 10:40 am Seneca Falls Police Department arrested a 14-year-old juvenile for Felony Burglary in the 2nd degree and Felony Grand larceny in the 4th degree. The charges stem from a report that dates back to 09/04/12 where Seneca Falls Police responded to 25 Peterman Road for a report of a Burglary. The victim of the Burglary reported that he had one Romarm AK-47 and a Mossberg .22 rifle stolen from his apartment. Seneca Falls Police stopped a vehicle on Bridge Street after receiving a tip that the two subjects in the vehicle are in possession of Assault weapons. After locating the two weapons in the vehicle and running the serial numbers, it was discovered both weapons were reported stolen from 25 Peterman Road on 09/04/12. After further investigation it was found that the 14 year old juvenile entered the apartment and took the two weapons. It is alledged that the two weapons then were given to Christine L. Maddox age 41 of 133 Elm Street Geneva,
Ny 14456 and Gary A. Goodman age 56 of 133 Elm Street Geneva, NY 14456 just before the traffic stop. The juvenile is to appear in Family Court on a later date.
