On Tuesday March 17, 2015 the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department along with members of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and Seneca County Probation Department conducted a DWI checkpoint . During the checkpoint probation officers noticed Andrew J. Sheppard, age 27, of 1772 North Road, Waterloo operating a motor vehicle through the checkpoint. Sheppard is currently on probation with the Seneca County Probation Department and the officers on scene knew he did not have a license. At that point he was turned over to officers from the Seneca Falls Police Department. Officers confirmed that Sheppard had a revoked drivers license and he was taken into custody. Sheppard was issued a ticket for aggravated unlicensed operation in the second degree, a misdemeanor and released to a third party. Sheppard is scheduled to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on March 23, 2015 at 6:00 pm to answer for the charges.
